Brief Caption Information – Reportage held in March and April of 2007. The goal was showing the effects of global warming already visible in the Northeast of Brazil. Have traveled more than 10 thousand kilometers, and six states for the implementation of the report.

The municipality of Gilbues in Piaui, is the largest core of desertification in the country. The council has been suffering with the progress of the areas of erosion over the years.
According to experts the main factors for the increase of this phenomenon are the indiscriminate utilization of the soil (such as mining) and global warming.
Emphasis to the mining of diamonds, Sidone Mendes, an area of large craters caused by soil erosion.
